District municipal budgetary cultural institution “Sociocultural complex” is located on the bank of Yenisei River in the building of the former river station. The river station in Shushenskoye was built in 1969 to the 100th anniversary of birth of V.I. Lenin according to individual project. The contours of the building resemble a large ship, the rooms inside are decorated with marble, and one of the walls is decorated with mosaic panel “Companions-in-arms”.

The area around the complex is adapted for rest and leisurely walks. The building was restored in the early 2000s by the efforts of Sayano-Shushenski Nature Reserve. Currently, cultural events, celebrations and thematic programs are held here, as well as the visitor center. The specialists of the center can get information about the tourist resources of Shushensky District and other southern regions of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the republics of Khakassia and Tyva. Also they can book an excursion, offer advice on individual selection of active programs and master classes.
